NIcole Salgar

Nicole Salgar is a Miami-born interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, installation,  and site-responsive public art. Working across museums, galleries, and the public realm, she  creates immersive environments that explore the relationship between humanity and the natural  world through investigations of memory, collective memory, perception, symbolism, and the  subconscious. 

Research, collaboration, and community engagement are central to Salgar's practice. Drawing  from the cultural, historical, and ecological identity of place, she develops site-responsive works  that foster dialogue and reveal the interconnected relationships between people, landscape, and  shared experience. Working across multiple scales and disciplines, she creates environments that  transform the way we experience place while inviting deeper reflection on our connection to  ourselves, one another, and the living world. 

Salgar's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Dalí Museum,  and encompasses immersive installations, studio painting, and large-scale public art throughout  the United States and abroad.

About Nicole Salgar Studio

Nicole Salgar Studio is a Florida-based visual arts company led by multidisciplinary artist Nicole Salgar. Headquartered in Miami, with roots in New York City, the studio creates large-scale murals, public art, site-specific installations, fine art, and custom visual experiences for clients across the U.S. and internationally.

Since beginning her public art practice in New York City in 2012, Nicole has built more than a decade of experience creating work for Fortune 500 companies, municipalities, cultural institutions, hospitality and retail spaces, nonprofits, schools, and private clients. Her work can be found in museums, hotels, restaurants, public spaces, and other environments throughout the U.S. and abroad.

The studio’s capabilities include murals, installations, original artwork, illustration, hand-painted signage, interior wall treatments, and creative visual branding. For projects requiring additional scale, Nicole leads a trusted team of artists and collaborators, expanding the studio’s capacity while maintaining the quality and artistic integrity of the work.

Each project is approached as a site-specific collaboration. Rather than applying a singular aesthetic, Nicole develops artwork in response to the identity, context, audience, and objectives of each space—combining thoughtful storytelling, intentional design, and a distinctive visual approach to create work with lasting impact.
